Don’t go on a spending spree using credit if you are thinking about buying a home, or in the process of buying a new home. Your mortgage pre-approval is subject to a final evaluation of your financial situation.
Every $100 you pay per month on a credit payment could cost you about $10,000 in home eligibility. For example, a car payment of $300/month could mean that you qualify for $30,000 less in a mortgage.
Even if you have accumulated enough savings, you should consider not making any large purchases until after closing. The last thing you want is to know that you could have purchased a new home had you curbed the urge to spend.
I retired from the Army 7 years ago and moved back to Utah but have been renting out my house in Gouverneur ever since. Due to the difficulty and hassle of renting I decided to sell. I have found upstate NY to be very difficult to find honest dependable people who do quality work.
Wendy is the exception!!! Wendy is AWESOME!!!
My house was vacant for a couple months while repairs were being made and she constantly checked on it and made sure everything was in working order. It was winter and she kept an eye on my fuel oil and made sure the furnace was working. She also found me a great handyman (Besaw Home Repair) for the repairs and coordinated with him to get them done. She relieved so much stress on me knowing she was there taking care of everything.
If I was buying or selling a house in Gouverneur again I would hire Wendy without question!
Thank you so very much for all you did Wendy!Jason & Lynn Heywood
